I am native speaker of French and Farsi. My mother was French and I was born in Teheran, Iran. I spent most of my adulthood years in the US. I am learning Portuguese and I had two years of Italian and Spanish in college. I have been teaching online classes in French and Farsi in American colleges for the last 3 years. I am familiar with online teaching tools and eager to try new ones. After spending more than 30 years in the US I moved to France and I am planning to settle in the southwest where I have a large network of family and friends. I would like to continue my teaching activity mostly online.

I hold a Ph.D in French from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Hello, I have been teaching French in American higher education institutions for the last 30 years. I had students from all ages groups and all backgrounds. I taught all levels of French in addition to French Literature, Culture, Cinema and Business. I also taught Persian classes and classes conducted in English in other departments. My teaching experience includes teaching at the following institutions: UCLA, USC, Loyola Marymount University, MCTC, Augsburg College,Metropolitan University. ------------------------------------------------- MY TEACHING APPROACH: Communication is the key. I believe in teaching in context. No matter the language we all share the same context as human beings and we can understand each other. Languages just give us that extra key that makes it all enjoyable! With me you'll learn to speak from day one. You'll learn how NOT to translate and understand the language from within. As a bonus you'll discover that you have a whole new identity that you did not know before! We learn best in a nurturing, relevant and fun atmosphere. Learning vocabulary for example can be much easier if we learn words as part of meaningful sentences and not only in lists. It is my belief that "Language in Action" is usually the most dynamic, fun and efficient way to approach learning a foreign language.
